Introduction

This website was designed to support students and teachers about to embark on the AQA Communication and Culture, AS or A Level. Although I no longer teach on the current AQA Communication and Culture specification, I was an assistant examiner on it and have been heavily involved in consultation and debate about it. I taught on the previous AQA Communication Studies course for 17 years. I have an M.A in Communication Studies and I worked for three consecutive years as an Assistant Moderator for both AS and A2 Level coursework on that former specification.

I have collected a lot of resources and ideas in my seventeen years of teaching Communication Studies and I hope this website will help you to make sense of this new course and give you some ideas to get you started, whether you be teaching it or studying it for your A Levels. I have concentrated on the two AS Level modules first, Unit 1 and 2, so look there first, particularly in Unit 2, Site B.

I have set up a free networking website (see top left-hand margin) with a blog, a forum for interested Communication and Culture teachers to discuss new teaching schemes and lesson plans and an RSS feed which you can subscribe to which will keep you updated whenever something new appears on the site. Do invite other Comms teachers and even your students to join the social networking site. If you want to contribute ideas and resources to this site or the network post them on the teacher's forum on the Grouply site or email me using the link below.

I have no official connection with AQA or any publishing company and the information I give you here is based on my personal information, as I am gaining it for my own students. If you see any mistakes, breaches of copyright or have any good ideas or resources you want me to add, I will be adding some feedback methods at a later date but for now, email me.
