Skin disorders are issues a lot of people struggle with and each skin type has it’s own problems.

Here some common skin disorders:

ACNE –This condition affects teenagers as well as 5% of woman and 1% of men over 25. Hormone levels will affect the appearance and severity of the acne which is most commonly located on the face as well the back. Acne consists of red facial pimples, whiteheads and blackheads and is caused by bacteria infecting the skins pores.

ECZEMA – this is the inflammation of the skin reacting to the contact of a specific substance. It can be caused or triggered by touching a substance which may cause irritation. The symptoms of Eczema include red, inflamed or dry skin and, in worst cases, blisters.

WART –These solid like blisters are caused by viral infection and are therefore contagious through skin-to-skin contact. HPV is one of the most common viruses which cause this infection. There are of course different types of warts which are caused by different reasons and not all are caused by infection such as HPV.

COLD SORE –these are red blisters that usually appear around the mouth or on other parts of the face. Herpes simplex type 1 is one cause of the cold sore. There is no current cure for cold sores, however there are antibacterial creams and medications which may help subside the outbreak.

PSORIASIS  – This is a genetic condition which is caused due to the fast formation of new skin. Inflammation happens because the once the tissue dies, the skin at the bottom is not developed and with no proper barrier, is susceptible to infection. Triggers of this condition may include stress, smoking or certain substances or open skin wounds.
