There are a variety of modes of wheeled transport. How we get around is rich in cultural meanings. Forms of wheeled transport, from the limousine to the skateboard, are linked with particular cultural groups, practices and values. Decisions about how we move around are not only dependent on social context, they reveal a great deal about our social outlook.
