This module is worth 15% of your final A Level grade. It will be tested in a 1 hour 30 minutes exam in January or June 2009.

You will be expected to answer TWO questions - one about the cultural debate and one from the four key topics (see links in left-hand margin). To see what the exam paper looks like, click here and then on Unit 5 Question Paper.

Throughout your study of Module 5 it is a good idea to keep using this link and reminding yourself what all your knowledge is leading to! Your teacher will be setting you practice essays, based on these past papers, so have a look at some of the markschemes too, to see how to gain good marks.

If you want to do well in the exam, two things are vital - that you have opinions and that you can provide examples of cultural products and experiences such as books, visiting festivals, dress and musici of various subcultures etc.

Use the links in the left-hand margin to help you explore some of the ideas you will need to understand. Some of the links lead to pages which are intended for the new Communication and Culture specification but since they are relevant to you as well, please use the information on those pages. Some links are especially for you and the old specification.
